How do I know the volumetric weight of my parcel?
A.

Volumetric weight is for large lightweight consignments, to calculate this height (cm) x width (cm) x length (cm) divide this figure by 6000 = volumetric weight.

How much will it cost to send a package?

What do I do if I have a special requirement?

Please call customer services to make sure that your request can be fulfilled, and to confirm the cost of the shipment.

Are my consignments insured?

A.

Consignments are only insured if specifically requested. If you do not tick the insurance box on your airwaybill, the company can only assume that you have arranged your own insurance.

What is the latest time I can call in for a collection?

A.

At least one-hour mininum prior to your normal collection time.

Are there any prohibited items that cannot be sent by courier?

A.

Yes the following are not accepted on courier flights: Animals, bullion, currency, drugs, narcotics, explosives and inflammables, certain liquids, firearms, ammunition, human remains, pornography, aerosols.Other restrictions may apply locally depending on the country of destinations.

What defines a dutiable / non-document shipment?

A.

Anything other than paper is classifed as a non-document shipment, this also includes a swatch of fabric on a piece of paper.

How do I know if I will be charged duty and vat on my import?

A.

As of the 1st December any goods entering the United Kingdom from a non EEC Country please see the new thresholds:
Any goods valued between £18.00 up to £105.00 Customs will levy VAT
Any goods valued over £105.00 Customs will levy Duty and VAT

What does my supplier need to provide you for an import?

A.

All suppliers are requested to fill out an airwaybill and a certificate of origin, stating where the goods were manufactured and they must put an accurate explanation as to what the goods are and not just a sample.

What countries need a commercial invoice to be supplied?

A.

All countries outside the EEC require 4 copies of the invoice, no invoice is required for documentation: Please see the list of EEC countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, Netherland's, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
